CHOK at 9 a.m – They are working their way through the court system and don’t know what the outcome will be. That pretty much covers what was said.

In all fairness, everyone should listen to that interview for themselves. It was full of comments that were excellent, in my opinion. Falconer, as all good lawyers must say, said that, the truth is, the final judgement is dependent on the moral conscience/wisdom of the judge.

I hope this interview is made available to all who missed it this morning and won’t be able to attend the meeting in Camlachie tonight.

One thing the host was not aware of when making the comment about province of Ontario not able to cancel the contracts due to high cancellation costs.

http://www.mondaq.com/canada/x/282310/Renewables/Appeal+Court+Allows+2Billion+Wind+Farm+Action+to+Proceed+Against+Government+of+Ontario
“The Court of Appeal, in confirming the motions judge`s decision, made it clear that proponents who choose to participate in discretionary government programs, such as Ontario’s renewable energy program, do so primarily at their own risk. Governments may alter the policies that underlie a program, and may even alter or cancel such programs, in a manner that may be fully lawful and immune from civil suit even if individual participants suffer damage from such alteration or cancellation. Much will depend upon the particular facts of a case.”

Thanks David, for both the link to the interview and for the statement made at the Court of Appeal. I was surprised too that the host was not aware of that. It’s a crucially important detail.
