Wake-up call for Ontario Environment Minister Murray

Letters to Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, Minister and wind power developer about disturbing strobe effect go unheeded

July 31, 2017
Wherever Environment Minister Glen Murray is this morning, we’re sure this isn’t what he’s seeing in his home.

The video is of shadow flicker experienced in a home in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, Ontario, produced by a wind turbine in the K2 wind power project.
The family is just one of several complaining of shadow flicker or strobe effect produced by nearby wind turbines. It is disturbing and annoying, and can be a safety factor for anyone operating heavy machinery while it’s going on.
Fixing it is a simple matter: but the company won’t and despite their mandate of protecting the public, the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change won’t insist that they do.
The family has sent letters to Minister Glen Murray*, the Spills Action Line, the K2 power developer, and Owen Sound District Office director Rick Chappell — no action.
It may be a good morning in downtown Toronto, but in rural Ontario, another day or torment is just beginning…

*Minister Murray resigned yesterday evening, July 30.

What's your reaction?

It “appears” it was easier for Glen Murray to quit than do the right thing! He is the worst kind of hypocrite.

Did you see his quote in the paper? “I have never seen a case of such gross neglect. I am embarrassed as a Canadian that this ever happened and I can’t understand how people for 50 years sat in that environment office knowing this was going on as a minister and simply didn’t do anything about it,”

    Finally!
Can we be hopeful that under a new Minister immediate action will be taken to protect the people of Huron County and everywhere else in rural Ontario where innocent people have been/are being harmed and forced to leave their homes because of industrial wind turbines that were sited too close to or in some cases surrounding their homes.

    This news: http://ulsterherald.com/2017/07/30/expert-warns-adverse-health-effects-turbines/
is absolutely alarming…..cardiovascular damage, immune system suppression, neurological damage eventually causing seizures, depression and suicide…and all the while Health Canada gives industrial wind turbines a pass. The Ministry of Health refuses to even measure low frequency noise in Ontario!

Glen Murray had no choice. He was handcuffed to a political pocket-lining machine well funded by corporate profits and, of course donations. I am glad he got out in good health.
The now Premiere Wynne was once anointed as Minister of Agriculture with laughable experience and any farmer can tell you why.
How many anointments has Chiarelli taken and is ready for more.
Mr Murray had little experience in the energy system before being placed and got groomed about it after, just like Wynne.
That was to refresh your memories eh!
Until these crooks are charged and get their faces shoved into the floor any change is unlikely.
Oh, if you did not know, a local taxpayer went to speak at a council meeting in Renfrew/Nipissing and was tackled by OPP enforcers then his head was shoved into the floor, taken outside and roughed up. Let that be a lesson, said the Mayor!
Mark my words on a calendar.
This new guy will promise to straighten everything out, listen to the constituents, produce results by commissioning a committee to do a study and, as always, he is a man of his word.
    Bullshit!
Welcome back to the Liberal reality.

And we, the citizens of Ontario, and especially of rural Ontario, are at the mercy of their incompetence! Our children and grandchildren will be paying for their dreadful mismanagement and their willingness to usher in the demise of rural Ontario communities. The quality of life will become so low that rural people will be forced to move into ‘human settlements’ as stated in the United Nations Agenda 21/30. The depopulation of rural Ontario and the resource and land grab will continue unless people push back. A tweet I read recently said that Samsung now owns an area the size of Kitchener -Waterloo! Do the people of Ontario realize what’s happening!
We need to ‘set the bar’ for candidates at all levels of government, in terms of their intelligence level, much, much higher.
It is frightening to think that Ontario will continue to be governed by incompetent people, municipally, provincially and federally, who are ushering in this outrageous situation!

All candidates should be psychometrically assessed before they are accepted as nominees, at all levels of government. We need to demand this development in Canada.

    Dear WCO and others:
Has anyone heard from Huron County Health Unit?
An investigation into health impacts of wind turbines was initiated in March 2016. (Ontario’s HPPA, Health Protection and Promotion Act). Since then we have had one delay after another, and still no remedy for those living under turbines.
As of Aug 1, 2017, Erica Clark informed me they have heard back University of Waterloo ethics and are now planning another ethics application to address concerns raised. Meanwhile I have been told that all communications of the ethics board, including the names an positions of the applicants, is confidential.
I am asking for transparency, and for immediate action on this urgent health issue.
For further details, including correspondence and my own research on Infra sound and wind turbines, please see my web page below.
    Sincerely,
    Richard Mann
