Independent energy commentator Parker Gallant took a tour of the Lennox power plant in Bath, Ontario, last week, and was amazed at the capacity of the facility and its ease of ramping up in case of power demand.
He also learned that this natural gas power generation plant can fulfill any shortfall in Ontario’s power supply if needed, during the period when nuclear power plants are being refurbished.
And the cost? Amazing.
He will have more details soon but for now, his learning points out again the wisdom of two Ontario Auditors General who chided the McGuinty-Wynne governments on never having done any cost-benefit or impact studies before they launched and continued to carry out their ideology-based “green” energy program.
Now, Ontario ratepayers are carrying the burden via punishing electricity rates, and a new government is facing a dire financial situation.

Professor Ian Lee of the Sprott School of Business told journalist Rob Snow on Radio CFRA today that, contrary to rumours that investors would lose confidence in Ontario if contracts for existing wind power projects ended, nonsense—investors would have renewed confidence in Ontario now that the reckless mismanagement of the McGuinty-Wynne governments is over.
I thanked him for weighing in so strongly with his assessment of existing contracts and he responded calling them “morally unconscionable”. This is precisely what they are!
Cancel all contracts now. Turn these turbines off.

The entry of January 26, 2016 documents previous health harm in Huron County Ontario. Huron County Health Unit initiated an investigation but the turbines keep running.
The most recent entry, October 19, 2018 refers to “Cardiac instability caused by infrasound radiation from industrial wind turbines”.
On October 28, 2018 I wrote to Christine Elliot, Minister of Health and Long Term Care to request an urgent face to face meeting to address this issue.

Professor Mann, your consistent effort to stop the harm by stating clearly that turning the turbines off NOW, before any more people experience the cumulative impacts in their own homes- in their own beds, gives people hope. As an expert on infrasound, you deserve great respect.
Will our new government end this moral degeneracy and acknowledge the validity of anecdotal evidence of harm and relevant medical evidence, as proof that confirms Dr. Mariana Alves-Pereira’s findings?She has said publicly that she would not live within 20 km of wind turbines. She knows why it is unsafe for anyone to be forced to do so.
Who will be held liable for the harm from LFN and infrasound, which Dr. Mariana Alves-Pereira says is irreversible.
