Economist Edgardo Sepulveda shows demonstrates wind power’s fatal flaw in Ontario: completely out of sync with demand (and no, batteries can’t fix that)

Building on his report and ground-breaking cost-benefit analysis of wind power in Ontario published last fall, economist Edgardo Sepulveda has published a graphic demonstrating the record of generation from various power sources in Ontario.
His conclusion?
Wind power doesn’t work.
There is a negative correlation between wind power and power demand, he says, while there is a positive correlation between demand for power and nuclear, hydro, and natural gas.
His conclusions are illustrated in this linear-log chart.

The question that pops out of course is, WHY is the Independent Electricity System Operator or IESO looking for more irrelevant, unreliable, intermittent, out-of-sync with demand, weather-dependent industrial wind power when all the evidence is against it?
IESO officials excuse their plan by saying we need a “mix” of power generation in Ontario. Given all the negatives (huge environmental impact, low power density, community resistance, noise pollution, more) it does not seem appropriate in any concept of a “mix.”
Bravo to Mr. Sepulveda for laying down the facts once again.
